This is a nice way to serve peas that uses sugar snaps, petit pois and onions. A delicious side dish, that belongs on a dinner table or posh Sunday lunch.


  • 1 onion, coarsely chopped

  • 225g (8oz) sugar snap peas

  • 350g (12oz) petit pois

  • knob of butter


  • 1.

    Bring pan of salted water to the boil, add the onion and boil for about 5 minutes.

  • 2.

    Add the sugar snap peas and petit pois and boil for a further 3 minutes until just cooked.

  • 3.

    Drain and toss in a little butter, serve immediately.
