These flakey cheese, ham and tomato pastries make a quick, easy and satisfying snack.


  • Ready rolled puff pastry

  • Jar of tomato sauce

  • 4 slices of ham

  • 150g / 5oz grated cheese (Edam / Gouda / Gruyere or Emmenthal)


  • 1.

    Cut ready rolled puff pastry into 4 and spread with some tomato sauce.

  • 2.

    Lay over some sliced ham and sliced or grated cheese (such as Edam, Gouda, gruyere, emmenthal).

  • 3.

    Fold over and seal the edges

  • 4.

    Brush with oil and scatter a little more cheese over the top.

  • 5.

    Bake until golden.
