Parma Wrapped Camembert

This has a classic European feel, thanks to the Camembert, Parma ham and sweet pear. Serve with a simple rocket salad for a super-chic starter.


  • 200g Camembert

  • Slice of sweet pear

  • 2 to 3 slices of Parma ham

  • 25g plain flour

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 50g breadcrumbs


  • 1.

    Take a slice of camembert cheese, about the length of your index finger.

  • 2.

    Lay a slice of pear on top, then wrap both in the Parma ham.

  • 3.

    Dust with flour, dip in the egg then the breadcrumbs and shallow fry until crispy.

  • 4.

    Serve immediately.
