Traditional Neapolitan Pizza Topping


  • 1 ready made pizza base

  • 300g/10½oz Italian chopped tomato

  • 3 tbsp Italian extra virgin olive oil

  • 2 pinches of oregano

  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped

  • 5-6 basil leaves

  • salt and freshly ground black pepper


  • 1.

    Place the chopped tomatoes and oregano on top of the pizza. You can use a ready made pizza base or make your own.

  • 2.

    Place the garlic, basil and salt and freshly ground black pepper on top.

  • 3.

    Cook the pizza in the oven and before you serve drizzle with extra virgin olive oil (could also use chilli olive oil if you prefer a stronger taste).
