  • Spunta potatoes


  • 1.

    Cut the potatoes into sticks

  • 2.

    Wash the starch off the potatoes once cut

  • 3.

    First fry: Fill a deep fryer with good quality peanut oil (for the best pot) in a large pot

  • 4.

    Heat to 320F and 160C

  • 5.

    Remove the potatoes from the water and drain well on paper towel

  • 6.

    Place potatoes in the hot oil using a basket insert, shake the basket a few times

  • 7.

    Fry until the potatoes are cooked through (5-6 minutes)

  • 8.

    Place fries on paper towel

  • 9.

    Second Fry: Re-heat the oil to 350F/ 180C add fries for 2-5 minutes or until the fires are a golden brown with a crisp exterior

  • 10.

    Quickly drain on a paper towel and sprinkle with sea salt and serve
