This easy-to-follow recipe for savoury asparagus filled bread, using 4 or less ingredients is for busy people who want fantastic food - fast!

  • 10 Slices fresh bread

  • 2 tablespoons Butter piece

  • Savoury case Asparagus filling

  • 1 packet white sauce

  • 1.5 cups Milk

  • 220 g tin asparagus pieces

  • 1 Lemon

    Remove crusts and butter bread both sides. Press each slice into a muffin tray. Bake in 180C oven until golden.

  • Savoury case Asparagus filling:

  • 1.

    Make the white sauce as per instructions. Drain asparagus and mash with fork, add to white sauce.

  • 2.

    Season with sea salt and pepper serve in savoury cases topped with lemon zest.
