Balsamic Onion Jam


  • 2 brown onions finely sliced into rings

  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar


  • 1.

    On a high heat cook onions in a pan on the flat plate of the BBQ.

  • 2.

    Make sure the onions are being stirred the entire time.

  • 3.

    Add the Balsamic & Honey or Brown Sugar.

  • 4.

    Turn heat down and simmer until the onions have cooked through and the mixture resembles a ‘jam’ like consistency.

  • 5.

    Will keep for up to 3 weeks covered in the fridge.
