This classic French cheese baked with garlic and herbs makes a rich delicious starter.


  • 1 500 gram Clarines

  • 0.5 cup Pinot Noir

  • 7 Cloves blanched Garlic

  • Sprigs Thyme

  • Ground black Pepper


  • 1.

    Ensure cheese is room temperature

  • 2.

    Use a knife to poke holes into the top of the cheese

  • 3.

    Insert garlic cloves into the top of the cheese, sprinkle with pinot noir, add thyme and bake in moderate oven for 20 minutes. Garnish with black pepper.

Hi, I am not familiar with Clarines at all & living in Indonesia I am doubtful of ever finding any. Would Brie or Camembert make a good substitute?
