If you want something special to serve up at a lunch or dinner party, try making this great looking edible centrepiece of prawns!


  • Banana Leaf

  • polystyrene cone

  • double sided sticky tape

  • toothpicks

  • 6 kg Prawns


  • 1.

    On the first day, Cook prawns in salted boiling water for 3 to 5 mins

  • 2.

    Refresh in ice & peel prawns.

  • 3.

    Cover polystyrene cone with banana leaf using double sided sticky tape and pins

  • 4.

    The next day, using tooth picks, poke prawns into polystyrene covered cone.

  • 5.

    Serve with pickled ginger & wasabi cream

Had something like this is a very exclusive restaurant in Manhattan. We were blown away by the look. It did have prawns, but also had some other kinds of seafood as well. Lovely idea and very chic.
