Start your day well with this nourishing breakfast.


  • 1/3 cup rolled oats

  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 small carrot, peeled, coarsely grated

  • 2 tbsp seeds and nuts of choice (sunflower seeds, cashews and walnuts for example)

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/4 cup natural yoghurt

  • 1/2 small apple, finely sliced

  • Mint and berries of choice for topping (optional)


  • 1.

    Combine the oats, carrot, cinnamon, water and half of the sunflower seeds in a bowl.

  • 2.

    Cover and place in the fridge overnight to soak.

  • 3.

    Before serving, top with the yoghurt, berries, seeds, and nuts.
