These tasty oats can be thrown together the night before in a few minutes, ready to grab on the go in the morning. Oats provide a fantastic source of slow-burn carbohydrates for brain and muscle fuel, plus fibre and resistant starch to keep your teen’s tummy full and their gut bacteria happy.
Place the oats, yoghurt, milk, and almonds in a large container. Mix well until combined.
Seal container, or separate into two jars that each hold an individual serve.
Leave in the fridge overnight.
In the morning, heat the blueberries in the microwave or a small pan over the stove—use a low heat if this is the case.
Pour the blueberries and their juice over the oats. Sprinkle the chocolate over the top, and drizzle with honey if you choose.
