These decadent morsels are so easy to make and are a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
Soak the pitted dates in hot water for 10 minutes to allow them to soften and then drain.
In a food processor, add the coconut oil, cacao powder, cinnamon, sea salt and soaked dates to a food processor. Blitz until combined.
If using rice malt or maple syrup, slowly pour it in while the food processor blade is running to ensure the mixture is properly combined.
Transfer the mixture into a large bowl and add the macadamias and coconut flakes. Stir to combine.
Spoon the mixture into a lined baking dish and using a spatula, gently press down to flatten evenly. Press the extra macadamias into the top of the mixture and place in the freezer to set for 30 minutes.
To serve, remove from the freezer and slice into 12 pieces. Sprinkle with a little sea salt. Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
