This recipe from the delicious Bake Bar helps you create artisan scones in your own kitchen.
Preheat oven to 180C. Line a baking tray with baking paper and set aside
Mix organic white spelt flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Add butter milk and mix all together for 3 seconds, being careful not to over mix
Add the frozen fruit and fold in
Tip the mixture onto a floured surface and knead with your hands, flattening to make it about 2cm thick
Cut out approximately 10 circles from this mixture, and place onto a lined baking tray
Sprinkle each scone with a little coconut sugar for extra colour and texture
Bake for 20 minutes or until golden. Leave to cool and then serve with butter and your favourite jam or some cream
Store scones, well wrapped, at room temperature for several days. Freeze for longer storage.
