This offers a subtle hint of sweetness from the maple syrup combined with the richness of the cashew nuts. I love this spread generously on sourdough toast or a spoonful on my porridge in the morning. You can even add to smoothies.

  • 250g cashews

  • ¼ - ½ cup water, room temperature

  • 1 tsp. sea salt

  • 1 tsp. cacao

  • ½ tsp. cinnamon

  • 1 tsp. maple syrup, more if needed

  • Coconut oil or olive oil, drizzle

  • 1.

Add extra water until desired consistency is reached.

  • 3.

Spoon into a jar and drizzle with coconut or olive oil, keep in the cupboard for a few days.
