A delicious and healthier alternative this Christmas!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups rolled oats

  • 2 cups oat bran

  • ½ cup sunflower seeds

  • ½ cup pepita seeds

  • ½ cup chopped almonds

  • ½ cup slivered almonds

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ cup brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • ¼ cup golden syrup

  • ½ cup coconut oil

  • 2 tbsp McCormick Cinnamon Ground

  • 2 tbsp McCormick Cloves Ground

  • 1 tbsp McCormick Nutmeg Ground

  • 1 cup dried cranberries

  • 2/3 cup dried mixed fruit

Method

  • 1.

    Preheat oven to 165C. Line two baking trays with greaseproof paper

  • 2.

    Combine oats, bran, seeds and nuts.

  • 3.

    Mix the salt, sugar, honey, syrup and oil in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Pour hot syrup over the oat mixture and stir well to coat.

  • 4.

    Spread the mixture out evenly over the prepared baking trays and bake in oven for about 25 minutes, turning the mixture after 10 minutes.

  • 5.

    Remove from oven once golden and crunchy. Immediately add in the McCormick Cinnamon, Cloves and Nutmeg and stir through well. Mix through the dried cranberries and mixed fruit.
