Food allergies? Indulge in this sweet treat without the worry.
Soak chopped apple and dates in boiling water until tender. Drain off liquid and refrigerate to cool. Place a generous tablespoon full of date and apple mixture on a spring roll wrapper and roll, fold in the sides and fold again. Heat the oil in a frying pan and shallow fry the rolls until nice and golden, turning throughout. Dust with allergy-free icing sugar to serve (optional, but pretty!).
These are just delicious, you can alter the flavour by alternating the fillings. My kids love banana and cinnamon, mango and coconut drizzled with pure maple syrup and a mixture of chopped banana and mango sprinkled with brown sugar ... yummy!
