An indulgent sweet treat that packs a health punch.


  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats (gluten-free if needed)

  • ½ cup natural crunchy peanut butter

  • ½ cup raw honey (use agave for vegan)

  • ¼ cup chocolate chips (use dairy-free if needed or raisins)

  • 1 tablespoon Metamucil NATURAL Granular or Metamucil ORANGE Smooth (or similar product)


  • 1.

    Line the bottom and sides of a loaf tin with baking paper.

  • 2.

    Preheat oven to 180°C. Combine all ingredients a bowl and mix well.

  • 3.

    Press the mixture firmly into prepared tin. 

  • 4.

    Bake for 20 minutes or until the edges barely start browning.

  • 5.

    Cool for 10 minutes and cut into bars. Store in a cool dry place for up to a week.

  • Optional:

  • 1.

    Add ½ teaspoon of cinnamon to the mixture.
