creamy mac and cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 cup macaroni

  • 1 tablespoon salted butter

  • 1 tablespoon plain flour

  • 1 cup full fat milk

  • 2/4 cup parmesan cheese

  • about 10 or more shavings of cheddar cheese

  • salt and ground pepper

Method

  • 1.

    1. cook macaroni for 8 minutes or until cooked

  • 2.

    2. make roux by melting butter and adding flour to a pot

  • 3.

    3. cook roux for 3-4 minutes stirring occasionally

  • 4.

    4. add milk and keep stirring occasionally until the mixture thickens

  • 5.

    5. add both cheeses and stir until melted

  • 6.

    6. season to taste and serve
