A delicious meal served as Party food or Main course.

Ingredients

  • YOU NEED

  • 4 kg American pork spareribs

  • ¼ Cup white vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 tablespoon cracked black pepper

  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 2 tablespoons paprika

  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic

  • ½ cup finely chopped onion

  • 2 cups tomato sauce

  • 4 cups water

  • 2 Large throw away baking trays

Method

  • 1.

    METHOD

  • 2.

    Preheat oven to 170 Deg

  • 3.

    Cut ribs to 3 bones per portion.

  • 4.

    Mix all ingredients (except water) together to make sauce.

  • 5.

    Place half the ribs in each tray.

  • 6.

    Pour half the sauce over the ribs in both trays.

  • 7.

    Pour half the water into each tray (on the side so you don’t wash the sauce off).

  • 8.

    Cover very well with Aluminum foil and seal well.

  • 9.

    Cook for 3 hours covered

  • 10.

    Increase temperature in oven to 190 deg

  • 11.

    Remove cover on food and return to oven for 30 minutes to brown and glaze at 190 deg

  • 12.

    Check and turn ribs in this time.

Notes

SERVING SUGGESTIONS Serves very well as a main, with roast Potato’s and fresh salad.
