For a not-so-naughty treat this Easter, try this chocolate mousse recipe by Golden Door Health Retreat & Spa - Elysia


  • 3 avocados

  • 3 tbs. dark agave syrup – honey or pure maple syrup can be used

  • ¾ cup tahini

  • 10 tbs. cocoa powder (raw is preferable) – carob can be used instead

  • 2 x cups of dates

  • 2 x tbs. orange zest


  • 1.

    Place dates in the blender and process roughly

  • 2.

    Add remaining ingredients and blend to a smooth mousse consistency

  • 3.

    Refrigerate for an hour until set (don’t let temptation get the better of you!)
