These canapes made using Superior Gold Smoked Salmon are a perfect option for your New Year's Eve gathering.


  • 200 grams Superior Gold Smoked Salmon

  • 1 cup plain flour

  • 1 teaspoons caster sugar

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten

  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh dill

  • 20 grams butter, melted

  • 200 grams crème fraiche

  • 2 tablespoon horseradish puree

  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped chives

  • Salmon pearls or caviar, to garnish


  • 1.

    Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Whisk in the buttermilk, egg and dill. Rest for 20 mins.

    Mix the crème fraiche and horseradish in a bowl.

  • 3.

    Heat a large pan over a medium heat. Brush with melted butter. Using a tablespoon, two tablespoons for breakfast size, spoon batter into pan, cook for one minute, on each side.

    Top blinis with salmon, horseradish cream, chives and pearls.
