1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg is optional to sprinkle over top before putting in oven. Instead of 2 cups milk, I often use 1 cup milk and 1 cup fruit juice. Peaches can be substituted for any tinned fruits. I have used Pineapple, Fruit Salad Mix, Two Fruits and also Pears. 2 cups of fresh fruit berries,or bananas, mangoes etc can also be used.
