Velvety Chocolate Mousse

To satisfy your sweet tooth without the guilt this Easter, Nature’s Own Dietitian Kate Save  shares her healthy chocolate alternatives to beat the binge!


  • ¼ cup pure Canadian maple syrup (or honey)

  • 2 ripe avocados

  • 1 ripe banana

  • I tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/3 cup raw cacao powder or cocoa powder

  • Small pinch of cinnamon to taste


  • 1.

    Blend all ingredients in a food processor on high speed for 30 seconds.

  • 2.

    Add small amounts of water whilst blending to lighten the texture of the mousse.

  • 3.

    Set in small glass bowls in the fridge for 2 hours.
