Asian Broth with Veal Dumplings

Try these amazing dumplings!


  • 1 pkt 625g San Remo veal tortellini

  • 2 litres of chicken stock

  • 1 star anise

  • 1 fresh ginger, 3 thin slices

  • 1 bunch of coriander, (separate leaves from the stalk)

  • 1 bunch of choy sum, cut into 2cm pieces (asian broccoli)

  • 1 red chilli, sliced in halve

  • 1tbsp fish sauce

  • 4tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp crispy shallot (bought)

  • 1 lime, juiced


  • 1.

    Heat chicken stock, star anise, ginger, chilli, fish sauce and soy sauce in a pot.

  • 2.

    Bring the stock to the boil and then add the pasta and coriander stalks. Cook pasta as per the packet directions for cooking time.

  • 3.

    Once pasta is cooked, turn the heat off. Add the lime juice and choy sum.

  • 4.

    Divide the soup and pasta amongst 4 bowls.

  • 5.

    Finish with coriander leafs and sprinkle of crispy shallots to each bowl.
