Try Justine's awesome tomato chutney!


  • 1.5kg tomatoes, diced

  • 3 white onions, peeled and diced

  • 3 green apples, peeled and diced

  • 1 cup cider vinegar

  • 225g brown sugar

  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper

  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger

  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg

  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp. cloves

  • 1 tbs. salt


  • 1.

    Place all ingredients into a large pot and bring to the boil. Turn the heat down to medium and simmer for 1 ½ - 1 ¾ hours or until thick.

  • 2.

    Once cool, pour into sterile jars and refrigerate.

Seriously guys if you are going to operate a professional webpage at least get the recipe right before you post it on the internet.

Sounds like a good recipe to me without the sultanas. I love French healthy cooking and this sound like a recipe to add to my repertoire....... without the sultanas.

If anyone out there has healthy French recipes let me know.
