This smoothie is great when you need a nutrient kick. It’s packed full of healthy ingredients that will keep you nourished while making you feel full at the same time. You can mix up the ingredients depending on what you have in your fridge. The egg and cashews add a protein hit to make this a complete meal.


  • ½ lemon, peeled and with pith and seeds removed

  • ½ green apple, cored

  • 1 cucumber, roughly chopped

  • ½ cup frozen sliced banana

  • ½ cup kale, stems removed

  • ½ cup mint

  • 1 raw egg

  • 2 tablespoons raw cashews

  • 250 ml coconut water

    It’s as simple as combining all the ingredients in a good blender and mixing until you’ve achieved your desired consistency. This will make a couple of cups’ worth, so share the green love.

    We like to make this smoothie with the addition of a high-quality whey or pea protein, and a greens powder. Ask your local health-food store for good products that you can add to this mix to really amp it up.
