Cooked on a cold day


  • 1 kg beef cheeks cut into bite size pieces

  • 1 large onion, chopped finally

  • 4 cloves garlic ,minced

  • 1/2 cup button mushrooms stalks removed and cut in half

  • 2 large carrots, sliced into think chunks

  • 4 stalks celery sliced

  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce homemade or canned

  • 1/2 tbs chopped parsley

  • 1 glass red wine

  • salt and pepper

  • 2 tbs vegetable oil

  • 2 L water


  • 1.

    Turn on the slow cooker place the oil in.

  • 2.

    Wash the beef cheeks and all the vegetables. Prepare the beef cheeks and vegetables and set aside.

  • 3.

    Add the onion and garlic and stir wait for a few minutes then add the beef and the vegetables then stir then add the water.

  • 4.

    Add the seasoning wine and parsley stir then put the lid on top and let it slowly cook for 5 hours or until the vegetables are soft and the meat is cooked.

  • 5.

    Serve with Mashed Potatoes and steamed vegetables.
