Milk Hot Chocolat

This gorgeous and decadent recipe from Max Brenner serves 6.


  • 200g chocolate chunks – milk or dark

  • 3 cups of milk

  • 1 cup of cream

  • ½ vanilla bean or 1 tsp of vanilla extract

  • Cinnamon for sprinkling

  • Whipped cream


  • 1.

    Bring cream and milk close to boiling point

  • 2.

    Gradually add the chocolate and stir until it has completely melted

  • 3.

    Return to low heat for two minutes while whisking the mixture to create a light frothy texture, taking care not to burn the chocolate

  • 4.

    Pour the hot chocolate into Hug Mugs

  • 5.

    Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with a little bit of cinnamon
