Warm up your appetite this season thanks to the Electrolux TURBOPRO Multi.
Trim the stems from the tomatoes and boil them for one minute. Peel and blend to make a purée.
Peel the garlic and onions; cut the peppers in half lengthways, trim the stems, seeds and white pith. Using the TURBOPRO food processor and the thick slicing disc, mince the garlic, onions and peppers.
In a large, deep saucepan heat the oil on a hot flame then sear the lamb on all sides. Take the meat out and put in the peppers, garlic and onions. Fry for 10 minutes, stirring all the time.
Pour in the white wine and chicken stock. Bring to the boil and add the meat back in along with the puréed tomatoes, herbs, salt and pepper. Bring to the boil again then reduce temperature and simmer on medium heat for 45 minutes, turning the meat from time to time.
Take the meat and herbs out of the saucepan.
Blend the sauce until smooth. Add in the cream, season to taste then serve immediately with the meat.
Tip:This dish is excellent when accompanied with polenta (replace the cooking water with chicken stock and 250ml fresh pouring cream) or with gnocchi that has been gently fried with a small amount of butter and olive oil.
