Put your feet up and enjoy this gorgeous Philadelphia recipe with a cup of tea!
Combine the cocoa and hot water, stir until smooth. Cool.
Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in the eggs, beating well between each addition. Fold through the sifted flour, baking powder and spices with the cocoa mixture until combined.
Spoon the mixture into a greased and lined 23.5cm x 13cm x 6cm loaf pan. Bake in a moderate oven 180oC for 1 hour and 15 - 20 minutes or until cooked when tested. Stand for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack. Cool
Spread thickly with the PHILLY Frosting and decorate as desired.
