Come Dine With Me Australia

There's a reason why this classic italian dessert has stood the test of time - it's easy to prepare, lends itself easily to a few ingrediant modifications and tastes delicious! Alexi Spyridis from Come Dine With Me Australia shows us his spin


  • 6 egg yolks

  • 12 tablespoon castor sugar

  • 1 kilogram mascarpone

  • ½ packet Savoiardi biscuits

  • 1 tablespoon Kahlua

  • 1 tablespoon Tia Maria

  • 50 ml Baileys

  • ½ block dark chocolate

  • 90ml Baileys


  • 1.

    Combine 6 egg yolks, 12 tablespoon sugar gradually and blend till creamy.

  • 2.

    Put 1 kilogram of mascarpone in a bowl and gradually add ½ egg mixture and blend

  • 3.

    Add 50 ml baileys to mixture and blend till mixture is combined

  • 4.

    Soak Savoiardi biscuits in Italian Espresso and place on base of baking dish, drizzle with Kahlua, Baileys and Tia Maria

  • 5.

    Spread layer of cream mixture

  • 6.

    Grate dark chocolate

  • 7.

    Repeat steps 4 and 5

  • 8.

    Place in fridge for 2 hrs

  • 9.

    To serve, using a ladle place one large scoop each on 4 serving plates
