Pasta al forno, which means for 'from the oven’, is a favorite Italian dish, and is sure to become a favourite with your family too! Adam Swanson shows us how...

  • 1pkt San Remo Spaghetti, 500g

  • 1 cup bread crumbs

  • 50g butter, room temperature

  • 300g buffalo mozzarella

  • 150g san Daniele prosciutto, sliced finely

  • 100g pecorino, grated

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/4 cup of cream

  • Salt & pepper

  • 1.

    Preheat the oven to 180°C.

  • 2.

Take a baking dish and half of the butter. Grease the base of the dish with the butter and sprinkle ¼ cup of the breadcrumbs over the base and a little pecorino too.

  • 3.

Cook the pasta as per packet directions. Once cooked, strain pasta and toss through remaining butter.

  • 4.

Place half of the pasta into the baking dish and then tear pieces of mozzarella and scatter over the pasta. Then top with small pieces of prosciutto.

  • 5.

Add remaining pasta to the dish. Beat eggs and cream together. Season with salt and pepper.

  • 6.

Pour egg mix over the top. Sprinkle remaining cheese and breadcrumbs over pasta.

  • 7.

Bake in oven for 15 to 20 mins or until golden brown.
