Dumpling Soup

Fresh and wholesome, delight your loved ones with this twist on the classic dumpling dish from Chan's.


  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 2 tsp finely grated fresh ginger

  • 1 litre chicken stock (fresh or bought)

  • 2 cups water

  • 2 tsp soy sauce

  • 250g peeled fresh prawns

  • 1 pack Chan’s Yum Cha at Home (Steam Selection or Vegetarian Dumplings)

  • 1/2 cup chopped Chinese cabbage

  • 3 spring onion, finely chopped

  • 1 carrot, peeled and thinly sliced

  • 1/2 bunch bok choy


  • 1.

    Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Fry the garlic and ginger until aromatic. Add the stock, water and soy sauce and bring to the boil.

    Add the prawns and Yum Cha and cook for 4 minutes.

  • 3.

    Add the remaining ingredients and cook for 2-3 minutes or until bok choy begins to wilt.

  • 4.

    Garnish with spring onion in bowls to serve.
