A different but delicious dessert from Adrian Richardson.


  • 8 slices thick-cut bacon

  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar

  • 1 cup chocolate melts

  • ½ cup slivered almonds


  • 1.

    Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

  • 2.

    Place a cooling rack in a baking sheet and place the bacon slices on the cooling rack.

  • 3.

    Sprinkle sugar over the bacon.

  • 4.

    Cook for 15-20 minutes or until desired crispness.

  • 5.

    Meanwhile, melt chocolate in microwave or on the stove.

  • 6.

    Drizzle strips of bacon with melted chocolate and sprinkle with almonds.

Nice Recipe, but keep in mind that 180 is 350 on U.S. ovens or you'll be waiting a LONG time for the bacon to crisp up.
We've been making candied bacon for years and we spice it up with maple syrup (the real stuff, not the fake ... you feed the kids), a few good shakes of cayenne and some black pepper.
