Adrian shows us how to serve up his famous finger-licking Sweet and Sticky Chickety Wings.


  • Chicken Wings

  • 10 chicken wings

  • 1 sprig coriander, roughly chopped

  • 1 long red chilli, finely chopped

  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced

  • 2 cloves garlic, roughly chopped

  • Juice 2 limes

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt & black pepper

  • 1 tbs. adrian’s spice mix (1 part peppercorns, 1 part clove, 1 part cumin, ½ part ground ginger)

  • Sauce Chien

  • Juice 2 limes

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 3 sprigs flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped

  • ½ bunch coriander, finely chopped

  • 4 cloves garlic, grated

  • 1 long red chilli, finely chopped

  • 6 spring onions, chopped

  • Salt & pepper

    Preheat over to 200C

  • 2.

    Place chicken wings in an ovenproof dish. Sprinkle over coriander, onion, chilli, garlic, Adrian’s spice mix and salt. Pour over lime juice and olive oil making sure to evenly coat the meat. Transfer dish to a preheated oven. After 15 minutes, turn chicken wings and cook for a further 25 – 30 minutes or until crispy and falling off the bone.

    Meanwhile in a large bowl, combine parsley, coriander, garlic, chilli and the green part of the spring onion. Add olive oil and squeeze of lime juice. Season to taste with salt and pepper and toss gently to combine.

Not sure I understand how thre's anything sweet about these wings/drumsticks since there isn't one ingredient above that is sweet except perhaps some onion?

I saw the show and the process looked good, but not sure the actual recipe does.

Also the recipe calls for 2 tbsp olive oil but Adrian literally POURED oil over this dish.

DELICIOUS !!!! So easy to prepare - a winner for this household.
Cheap 'n Cheerful too! We loved the fresh tangy flavour.
I served it with the fresh salsa recommended along with homemade potato wedges (tried not to be so naughty)
