Cream Cheese Frosting

A frosting to go with any type of cake... I find banana and carrot cakes work best!


  • 500g icing sugar

  • 250g cream cheese (room tempreture!)

  • 2 tbs cream (if needed)


  • 1.

    Place the cream cheese into a mixer, and beat until smooth and pliable.

  • 2.

    If needed, add a tablespoon of cream to the cream cheese to loosen it up.

  • 3.

    Add icing sugar, slowly (as it will fly up and cake your kitchen!) and incorporate into the cream cheese.

  • 4.

    Add more cream or icing sugar as needed - it should be malleable and spreadable!


I use light or fat-free cream cheese, to the same result.
