You only need three ingredients - onion, potatoes and cheese to make satisfying comfort food that goes great served with crusty bread.


  • 1 finely sliced Onion

  • 3 medium Potatoes

  • 1 Munster cheese

  • Pepper to taste

  • Salt to taste


  • 1.

    Pre-boil potatoes till cooked through, allow to cool, and then slice into 1cm pieces.

  • 2.

    Using a non-stick pan fry onion till lightly browned, then add the potato slices.

  • 3.

    Cover potatoes with 1 cm slabs of Munster cheese.

  • 4.

    Cook till the cheese has melted and formed a crust on the pan.

  • 5.

    Serve with crusty bread and a glass or two of Gew├╝rztraminer or your favourite wine.
