Smoked Eel Dip

Surprise your guests at your next dinner party with this delicious alternative to traditional dips.


  • 115g of smoked eel meat

  • 3 tsp of Philadelphia cream cheese

  • 3 tsp sour cream

  • 1 tsp cream

  • 2 tsp horse radish (not creamed)

  • 2 1/2 tsp lemon juice

  • ½ tsp Fresh chopped dill

  • Pepper and salt


  • 1.

    Put eel flesh in a blender and pulse to break the meat up then add all the other ingredients and blend to a smooth paste.

  • 2.

    Season with salt and pepper blend again and then turn it out into a nice serving bowl.

  • 3.

    Garnish with a little more chopped dill and serve with thin slices of toasted sour dough bread.
