Enjoy the classic Greek salad and lamb kebabs with all the healthy benefits.


  • 450g boneless leg of lamb, trimmed of all fat and cut into 2.5cm cubes

  • 2 large garlic cloves, crushed

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • Juice of ½ lemons

  • Salt and pepper

  • Greek style salad

  • 6 tomatoes, thickly sliced

  • 1 red onion, finely chopped

  • 1 baby white cabbage, about 225g core removed and thinly shredded

  • 4 tbsp chopped fresh mint

  • ¼ cucumber, halved and thinly sliced

  • Juice of ½ lemons

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 4 wholemeal pitta breads, cut into triangles to serve


  • 1.

    Preheat grill. Stir together oil, garlic, lemon juice and chopped oregano in a bowl, add in lamb cubes turning until well coated.

  • 2.

    Thread the lamb cubes onto the skewers and place under the grill for 7-8 minutes turning frequently.

  • 3.

    Warm the pitas in the grill also during the last few minutes the lamb is cooking.

  • 4.

    Toss salad ingredients together in a bowl, seasoning with salt and pepper.
