Treat yourself to this nutritious pattie snack.


  • 1 tin of brown lentils

  • 1 tin corn

  • 1 carrot

  • 1 egg

  • 1/4 red onion

  • 1/2 cup of spelt flour

  • Pinch of salt and pepper


  • 1.

    Pre heat oven to 180 degrees.

  • 2.

    Cut the onion into small cubes about 2mm.

  • 3.

    Peel carrot and cut into small cubes approx 1/2 cm then microwave in water for 4 minutes, allow the carrots to cool.

  • 4.

    Drain and rinse the corn and lentils.

  • 5.

    Add all ingredients to the mixing bowl and mix with a fork.

  • 6.

    Roll patties into balls approx 5cm. Place in a baking tray lined with baking paper.

  • 7.

    Gently flatten the balls until approx 2 cm thick.

  • 8.

    Place in the oven and bake for 40 minutes.

  • 9.

    Allow patties to cool for 20 minutes after cooking.

I like these ones. easy to make,good for work, I need to eat vegetarian at my work place
