This is a healthy burger recipe...I used frozen peas in this,but you could use fresh peas also..You could have the fried pattice all by itself like a peas tikki...But I put it inside a burger so that it make a filling meal for a picnic...


  • Burger Buns

  • Peas-1 cup(defrosted)

  • Ginger Garlic Paste-1 tblspn

  • Green chilli-2

  • Coriander leaves-1 tblspn chopped

  • Gram flour-1/2 cup

  • Breadcrumbs-3 tblspn

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil for shallow frying

  • For topping:

  • Onion-sliced into round

  • Tomato-sliced into round

  • Lemon juice as per taste


  • 1.

    Take the peas,ginger garlic paste,green chilli,salt,coriander leaves in a mixer and make it into a coarse puree.Tip this into a bowl.

  • 2.

    Add in gram flour,breadcrumbs and mix well.

  • 3.

    Form into pattice as per your liking and shallow fry in oil till crispy.

  • 4.

    For assembling the burger,toast your buns and Place this burger pattice over it and top with sliced onions,tomatoes and squeeze some lemon juice.

  • 5.

    Cover with the other half of the bun and dig in straight away or wrap it in foil and take to picnic.
