Enjoy this tasty vegetarian burger prepared with a bean and kumara patty, fresh made guacamole topped with a tangy tomato salsa.


  • 4 wholemeal bread rolls

  • 4 Syndian adzuki bean and kumera burger patties

  • Guacamole

  • 1 ripe avocado peeled & stone removed

  • 1 garlic clove crushed

  • 1 tablespoon parsley or coriander chopped

  • Sea salt & freshly ground black pepper

  • Juice of 1/4 lemon or lime

  • Salsa

  • 2 tomatoes diced

  • ¼ red onion finely chopped

  • 2 teaspoons of red wine vinegar

  • Sea salt & freshly ground black pepper


  • Guacamole:

  • 1.

    Mash the avocado flesh and mix all ingredients together.

  • Salsa:

  • 1.

    Mix all the ingredients together.

  • Burger:

  • 1.

    Prepare the Syndian Adzuki bean and kumera burger patties.

  • 2.

    Add the grated cheese on top of each pattie 30 seconds before the end of the cooking time.

  • 3.

    Toast the bread rolls under a grill.

  • 4.

    Spread the guacamole and salsa on both sides. Add the hot burger patties and baby spinach leaves. Enjoy!
