This recipe is from Episode 13 of Secret Meat Business


  • 1 x T-bone steak

  • 1 x Porterhouse steak

  • 1 x Rump steak

  • Olive oil

  • Salt

  • Pepper


  • 1.

    Take a t-bone steak and add salt and pepper to all sides of the stake.

  • 2.

    Add a teaspoon of olive oil to the steak and rub it in.

  • 3.

    Add the steak to the hot pan until the meat is seared.

  • 4.

    When both sides are seared take the steak out of the pan and roast in the oven at 200 degrees for 10 minutes.

  • 5.

    Let steak rest for 5 minutes.

  • 6.

    Take the porter house steak and add salt to all sides.

  • 7.

    Render down the fat on the steak and brown the steak on all sides.

  • 8.

    Keep turning the steak till cooked.

  • 9.

    Let steak rest for 5 minutes.

  • 10.

    Take the rump steak and add salt and pepper to both sides of the steak.

  • 11.

    Rub in a teaspoon of olive oil to either side of the steak and place on a hot pan.

  • 12.

    Fry for 1 ½ minutes until rump is golden brown.

  • 13.

    Turn once or twice then remove the steak from the pan.

  • 14.

    Let steak rest for 5 minutes.
