A delicious take on an old favorite.


  • ½ red cabbage shredded

  • 2 large carrots, julienned or grated

  • ½ medium red onion grated

  • ½ cup good mayonnaise

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • 1 tablespoons horseradish cream

  • 1 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

  • ½ teaspoon celery salt

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  • ¾ cups crumbled blue cheese

  • ½ cup chopped chives


  • 1.

    In a bowl combine shredded cabbage, grated onion and julienned carrot.

  • 2.

    In a separate bowl make the dressing byl combining remaining ingredients. Pour dressing over cabbage and toss until well coated.


This salad can be changed to suit your taste by adding things like julienned snow peas, currants or julienned capsicum. The possibilities are endless. The dressing is also great on boiled baby potatos.
