Whole Wheat Pizza Dough

Episode 9, Season 2 Healthy Gourmet.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 teaspoons Dry Acrive Yeast

  • 2 1/4 cups Water, lukewarm

  • 5 1/3 cups Flour, Whole Wheat

  • 2 teaspoons salt, Himalayan

  • 2 teaspoons honey

  • 3 teaspoons Olive Oil

Method

  • 1.

    Add yeast to lukewarm water and let sit for 10 minutes.


  • 2.

    Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and use a large spoon to stir for 1 minute until well blended.


  • 3.

    Let the dough rise for 5 minutes.


  • 4.

    Continue mixing by hand for 2 to 3 minutes until the dough is smoother.


  • 5.

    Knead dough using a little olive, folding it over itself several times.

  • 6.

    Divide the dough into 3 equal pieces.


  • 7.

    Form each piece into a ball and refrigerate them on a pan, covered, for at least 8 hours or overnight.

  • 8.

    Makes 3 dough balls with 8--10 servings each.
