Whoever said you can't win friends with salad never saw the potential of these mega-sized bowls of mixed leaves, colorful raw vegetables and thick juicy slices of BBQ meat, seafood and protein-rich beans. A meal in one guaranteed to boost the biceps of the brawniest builders and bloat the breasts of the most buxomest beauties. Get into it!!


  • Salad:

  • 1 or 2 good cuts of steak from your butcher eg. eye fillet/sirloin

  • scallops, a dozen

  • mussels, why not

  • 2 bunches watercress

  • 6 radishes

  • 1 yellow capsicum

  • 1 red capsicum

  • 1 cucumber

  • 2 cups baby spinach

  • tiny tomatoes

  • 1 avocado

  • 1 tin butter beans

  • 1/2 cup blue cheese

  • Dressing:

  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

  • 6 tbsp avocado oil

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • pinch salt

  • Garnish (optional): sliced garlic sauteed in butter

    As with any salad, it is just a question of mixing it all together.

    Dressing goes on at the last minute to avoid soggy leaves.

  • 3.

    Make sure all leaves are broken up into bite size pieces, and if you can BBQ the meats and seafood, you will have an additional smokey dimension to the world of flavours inside.

A. Absolutely, even leftover meats can be sliced up to add as a fresh dish.

A. Serve in LARGE noodle bowls. Size matters!
