Mexican style spicy hot chocolate

Serves 6 in small cups – or 2 large mugfuls


  • 1 pint soya milk (or the milk of your preference)

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 1 dried chilli

  • 100g/1 bar dark chilli chocolate


  • 1.

    Heat the milk with the cinnamon and dried chilli in it.

  • 2.

    When the milk is starting to get hot break in the bar of chocolate and stir it until it has completely melted and the hot chocolate has thickened and then serve immediately

absolutely my type of to sit on my porch, rugged up, listening to the wind, just me and my hubby sipping our hot chocolates! if a bit unwell, i add a dram of whiskey!!
