  • 1 1/4 cup of plain flour

  • 125g of unsalted butter softened

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder

  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar

  • 125g roughly of dark chocolate roughly chopped

  • 1 cup of hazelnuts chopped (optional)

  • 2 teaspoons of orange zest

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract/essence


  • 1.

    -Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius

  • 2.

    -Combine flour and baking powder in a bowl

  • 3.

    -In a food processor add butter, sugar, egg, orange zest and vanilla extract

  • 4.

    Blend to combine

  • 5.

    -Add in sugar mixture into flour along with chocolate and hazelnuts

  • 6.

    -Mix well until combined

  • 7.

    -Separate into spoon fulls and roll each to give an individual cookie. Flatten with palm slightly onto a baking tray

  • 8.

    -Bake for 13-15 minutes or until cookies are browning.

Just made these bit added chunks of marshmallow and didn't add the orange zest - absolutely amazing!! Best choc chip little morsels I've tasted!
