Try Yolanda's Baked Apples with Walnuts from Week 3 of COME DINE WITH ME AUSTRALIA series 2.
Pre heat oven to 180 degrees
Wash the apples and cut in half, cutting off the stem
Using an apple corer remove the middle core
Place the apples face up in a large enough baking dish to hold all the apples
Combine the sugar, walnut, brandy, lemon juice and cinnamon in a bowl and mix. Spoon the mix on top of each half apple
Stick 1 clove in each half apple
Combine all ingredients in a pot and boil for 3-4 minutes
Pour over the apples
Bake for 45 minutes
Serve with ice –cream or alone
