Homemade Lemonade

Your little darlings will be a lot less hyper and will have much less of a ‘hangover’ if you can give them something to drink other than fizzy drinks.

Ingredients

  • 250 g Sugar

  • 225 g Water

  • 4 Lemons Juiced

  • 2 oranges Juiced

  • About 1.5 Litres of Water

Method

  • 1.

    To make the syrup, put the sugar in a saucepan with the water on the heat, bring slowly to the boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar.

  • 2.

    Boil for 2 minutes and let it cool.

  • 3.

    Meanwhile juice the fruit,top up with nearly all the cold sugar syrup, add water to taste and more syrup if it needs it.

  • 4.

    Put into a jug with ice.
